| CATEGORIES OF
MEMBERSHIP
Equity Members: own all the assets of the Club and have
reciprocal privileges with other yacht clubs. They may vote, hold office, and serve
as a Director of the Club. They are subject to dues, "use it or lose it"
fees, and assessments (if any). Equity memberships may be available, with monthly
dues set by the board of directors. The "use it or lose it" fee is
currently $75 per quarter.
Military Members: are individuals serving active duty in
the military forces of the US or allied countries. They have all the rights of
Equity Members, except that they may not vote, hold office or serve as a Director of the
Club. They are not subject to assessments or "use it or lose it"
fees. There is no initiation fee, dues are set by the board of directors, and
includes reciprocal privileges with other yacht clubs.
Social Members: are eligible to use all the Club
facilities and participate in all intra-club activities, but have no reciprocal privileges
with other yacht clubs. They may not vote, hold office or serve as a Director of the
Club. The initial fee and the monthly dues are set by the board of directors.
"Use it or lose it" fees are not applicable to Social Members.
Competitive Members: are made
available on a limited basis to those whose skill and interest in competitive yachting,
performed on behalf of the Club, would be in the best interests of the Club. Competitive members have the same status as
military members.
The above is only intended to be a
summary. The actual terms and conditions of membership are governed by the Coronado
Cays Yacht Club by-laws and policies of the Board of Directors, which may change
